The short answer

Lever pricing is not published. The Lever pricing page lists one core platform, three add ons and a form to request a quote, and the FAQ says pricing scales with team size and hiring needs. RecruitingBot Starter costs 1,788 USD a year billed yearly (299 USD if you pay monthly) and finds, contacts and screens candidates. Lever is an applicant tracking system with AI screening, so the two solve different problems and many small teams need to price both.

What the Lever page lists

The core platform is described as an AI powered hiring platform. It lists AI screening that prioritizes top candidates, unlimited AI interview transcripts and summaries, and fraud prevention signals.

Three add ons appear with no price: Candidate Insights, AI Screening by VONQ for agent based screening on the career site, and Onboarding for tasks and documents. Because no amounts are shown, any number you see on a third party site is an estimate. Treat it as a starting point for negotiation, not a budget.

What to get in writing before you sign

A quote only helps if it is complete. Send every vendor the same brief and ask for a written answer.

  • The total for year one including every add on you expect to use, not just the core platform.
  • How the price changes if headcount or the number of open roles grows during the term.
  • Whether AI screening and the VONQ add on are included or billed separately.
  • The contract length, the renewal uplift and the notice needed to cancel.
  • Implementation or onboarding fees and what data migration covers.
  • How many users and hiring managers are included and what an extra seat costs.

An ATS and a sourcing tool do different jobs

An applicant tracking system collects applications, stores resumes and moves people through stages. Lever adds AI that ranks the people who already applied. It does not go out and find a passive engineer, write to them from your mailbox and chase a reply.

If your roles draw plenty of inbound applicants, the tracking system is the right first purchase. If your roles are hard to fill, the queue is thin and the work is outreach, which is what a flat priced recruiter covers. Automated resume screening handles the inbound pile, and AI candidate screening explains how scoring against a rubric works.

Setting an ATS up properly also takes time. If you hire your first few people through it, your new teammate still needs a plan for week one, and an AI mentor for the new hire can cover the questions that never reach a manager.

Year one cost for a small team

Take a 30 person company hiring six salaried roles in a year. Lever will quote an amount we cannot publish for you. RecruitingBot Starter at 1,788 USD covers three active roles at once with sourcing and screening. Put the Lever quote beside it and add the hours your people spend on sourcing and first screens.

If a person spends ten hours per role finding and screening candidates, six roles is sixty hours. Value your own time and compare. Our cost per hire guide for startups walks through that math.

Who should choose which

Choose Lever when you receive many applications, run structured interview loops and need a system of record. Choose RecruitingBot when the work you want removed is finding people, getting replies and reaching a reviewed shortlist. RecruitingBot imports Lever data on Growth and Agency but is not an ATS.

Questions on this topic

Anything else goes to support@recruitingbot.com or the help panel inside your dashboard.

How much does Lever cost?

Lever does not publish prices. Its pricing page lists a core platform and add ons and asks buyers to request a quote, saying price scales with team size and hiring needs. Third party figures are estimates, so get the quote in writing.

Does Lever have a free trial?

The Lever pricing page does not mention a free trial. It offers a price quote request. Ask sales whether a pilot on a live role is possible before committing to a yearly term.

Does Lever have AI features?

Yes. The pricing page lists AI screening that prioritizes top candidates, unlimited AI interview transcripts and summaries, and fraud prevention signals, plus paid add ons such as AI Screening by VONQ and Candidate Insights.

What is a cheaper alternative to Lever?

It depends on the job. RecruitingBot Starter at 1,788 USD billed yearly has a published price and sources and screens candidates, but it is not an applicant tracking system. Compare your Lever quote with it for the work each one removes.

Can RecruitingBot work alongside Lever?

Yes. RecruitingBot imports from Lever on Growth and Agency and accepts CSV on every plan. It finds and screens candidates, and you keep Lever as the system of record for approved candidates.
